How ChatGPT Sends Businesses Clients
SEO, Simple SEO Podcast, AI SEO
If you’ve been working on your website and creating content, and you’re wondering if any of this actually works and how ChatGPT sends businesses leads, I want to show you how it works and what it can mean to your business.
I know how frustrating it feels to put in the time and effort and not see results. You’re busy, working all the time. It feels like you live on the content creation hamster wheel, and yet, you wonder if it’s ever going to pay off. You’re posting on social daily, and maybe 20 people see your post, and even fewer ever interact with your account.
You’re writing blog posts, maybe recording podcast episodes, trying to figure out SEO, and still, nothing. You start to wonder if it’s even worth trying to create content anymore.
You know it works for some people, so you start to question if maybe it’s just not something that works for your niche. You’re putting so much time and effort into it, but it doesn’t seem to be paying off, and you’re not sure why.
I hear this a lot, especially in my free training classes. It’s hard to keep focusing on something if it doesn’t seem to be working. And honestly, that’s good because your business won’t grow if you don’t do the things that work to bring new people into your world.
However, I believe very strongly that if SEO and website/blog content isn’t working for your business, it’s not that it doesn’t work for your niche. It’s simply that you’re missing an important piece of the puzzle because I see it work for my students and clients all the time, even when they come to me initially with a history of it not working.
I thought if I shared a few stories of students who are probably a lot like you, who are in niches like yours, it might be exciting to see that this can work, and you can get leads from Google and ChatGPT. You probably just need to make a few adjustments to what you’re doing right now to get it to work better for your business.
How a life coach got clients from ChatGPT
Jane is a life coach who specifically helps women. She creates content consistently, blog posts and podcast episodes around the topics her audience cares about and answers the questions they’re either asking.
Because she’s consistently doing this and focused on helping her ideal customer, not just creating content, she’s been able to help new clients who found her through Google and ChatGPT. Each blog post or podcast episode she creates is SEO friendly, and she knows she’s doing SEO the right way because she took the time to learn how to do it and uses those skills to help her create the right content for her audience.
Now, when people search for help on Google or ChatGPT, her blog posts and podcast episodes are regularly cited as resources by the AI search engines. She got a new one-on-one client recently who asked ChatGPT to help her explain something she was struggling with to her partner, and ChatGPT shared Jane’s podcast episode on that topic with the new client.
That new client listened to the podcast episode and felt confident that Jane could help her and went to check out her website, learning about her coaching offering, and ultimately reached out to see if she had openings for a new client. They’re now working together, and Jane is helping her.
It’s all because ChatGPT knew Jane’s work because she’d done SEO the right way, and because she understood SEO and content strategy, she knew what to write about ahead of time that her ideal customer would be searching for, so that when she searched, Jane showed up. That’s the power of SEO and how it helps you get leads and clients from Google and ChatGPT.
It’s easy to be excited to create new content when you realize one blog post or podcast episode can drive thousands of dollars in revenue for your business. Each new post that you create becomes one more opportunity to be found by the right people online.
What happens when ChatGPT sends leads directly to your website?
Bonny, another student of mine, is a life coach who is getting leads directly from ChatGPT. She creates content that’s helpful to her ideal customer and answers their questions, and in turn, ChatGPT has shared it with multiple people.
She has a new one-on-one client who found her because they were searching ChatGPT to find insights on how to handle a situation they were facing with their adult child. They needed resources and help, and ChatGPT recommended Bonny as someone who could help them.
They went to check out her website, opted into her freebie, read several blog posts, and then reached out and booked a consult call. She was able to meet with them, answer questions, and ultimately, sign them as a one-on-one client.
Bonny has now gotten several new clients directly from ChatGPT. Each one pays thousands of dollars to work with her one-on-one.
Do people search for help on ChatGPT and Google both?
Yes, they do.
Another student of mine, Lisa, is a therapist, and she’s getting clients from ChatGPT, Google, and then both together.
This new client wanted therapy but wasn’t sure what type of therapy they needed in order to get the right help. So they started by having ChatGPT help them figure out what to search for, what type of therapy they needed.
Once they knew what to search for, they went to Google and searched for that type of therapy in their local area, and because Lisa’s website was SEO friendly and she had a page on her website that spoke directly to that type of therapy, she showed up at the top of the results when they searched.
Lisa was able to help that new client and earn money in return because she understood what questions her ideal customer was asking and what information she needed to have on her website. She also understood SEO and had done it so that she showed up at the top of the search results when they searched.
Why are they getting clients and leads from Google and ChatGPT?
My students are visible on Google and ChatGPT and are getting leads from them because they understand what their ideal customer is searching for, and they have that information on their websites. I’ve taught them how to create a content strategy that brings buyers, not just traffic, into their world.
Some of them had content on their sites that wasn’t working when we first met. Several had to remove posts that were off topic, not aligned with their business, were created by AI, or weren’t the quality Google and ChatGPT want to share with people.
Once we addressed the issues on the site and made decisions about what stayed, what went, and what was updated, then they got to work and started creating new content that was designed to do exactly what it does – bring leads to their businesses.
It’s about really understanding our audience, not only who’s interested in our products but more importantly, who’s willing to buy from us.
Today, they create content that is focused on the right topics; they don’t just write about whatever pops up when it’s time to write another blog post. They’re strategic in their approach to content development, and they understand SEO because they’ve been through Simple SEO Content and learned how to find keywords their site can rank for on Google and what to do so ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-based search engines know about them and want to share their content with searchers too.
They create content with SEO every step of the way. They no longer think of it as an afterthought or something extra at the end. They understand it’s actually the foundational piece that was missing for their business.
What does this mean for your business?
If you have a website and are creating content, but you aren’t getting leads from Google and ChatGPT yet, then it’s time to do something different and let me teach you how this works. Don’t just read this and think, ok great, I’ll try this on my own now. If you want it to work and you want to start making money from the content you create, you need to understand how the entire process works, and that’s what I teach my students.
If you’ve tried to do SEO on your own and now you’re wondering if it’s not working because you’ve made mistakes….you probably have, and that’s OK, we can fix them. I can quickly help you figure out what’s working and what’s not working.
When we work together, you will create content that’s designed to connect with your ideal customer, answer their questions, and position you as the guide who can help them. You’ll also optimize that content so both Google and ChatGPT want to share it with the right people, and that combo is how you’ll grow your business.
You don’t have to buy ads; there’s nothing to pay long term. Most of my students are able to pay off the investment in Simple SEO Content with their first new client from an SEO lead. Most of my students are professional service providers like realtors, insurance agents, life coaches, therapists, travel agents, and course creators. I’d love to teach you how to do this too.
